The Richmonder reported on September 1, 2026 that Henrico County's current annual Flock term costs $323,574.50 and covers 122 cameras, 116 stationary and 6 mobile. The same report put the original 2022 agreement at $125,000 for 50 cameras and said the arrangement renews annually. VPM reported on August 26, 2026 that the agreement ends November 14, 2026 and counted about 128 stationary cameras, with images held 21 days unless tied to an investigation. WTVR reported on April 17, 2026 that the Board of Supervisors approved a fiscal 2027 budget carrying $117 million for the police division and counted 112 cameras. The three camera counts do not match, so the 122 figure used here rests only on The Richmonder. Supervisor Misty Roundtree raised privacy objections during the budget discussion, and residents spoke against the cameras at the August 25, 2026 board meeting. No board roll call on the contract itself appears in these sources.
This contract expires November 14, 2026
