A Riverdale City Council budget planning agenda for March 4, 2025 lists a police request for Flock Cameras at 27,200 dollars, described as the upfront cost for 8 cameras with a recurring annual cost of 24,000 dollars. At the June 3, 2025 work session, staff said a proposed increase of about 25 percent in business license fees would help pay for Flock cameras. In the regular meeting that night the budget review noted a 30,000 dollar increase in business license fees for Flock cameras. The council then approved Resolution 2025-20, the 2025-2026 Consolidated Fee Schedule, 5 to 0, with Councilors Stevens, Richter, Hansen, Haws and Arnold voting yes. The documents do not show a separate vote on a Flock contract, a signed agreement or a contract term.
