Farr West City Council minutes of September 21, 2023, item 4.i, record Mayor Ken Phippen saying he had discussed the need for additional flock cameras in the city with Lt. Horton of the Sheriff's office, who recommended at least 2 more. Councilmember Boyd Ferrin said the cameras were being used more and were successful, and he asked for cost and budget information before any purchase. The mayor said he would have Lt. Horton return with that information, and no motion or vote was taken. Later in the meeting Ferrin again voiced support for more flock cameras. The minutes do not give the number of cameras already in the city, a cost or a contract term.
