Schertz City Council members accepted the city's latest $309,000 vehicle authority grant at their September 15, 2026 meeting, with roughly $100,000 of it intended for 41 Flock cameras, The Texas Tribune reported in a story KERA News published on September 25, 2026. The same story reports that state funding for Flock cameras was cut and that at least 900 of the cameras in Texas have been unplugged since. It does not say whether the cut stops Schertz from buying the 41 cameras. No document found states the vote tally, the value of any Schertz contract with Flock, its term or when Schertz first approved Flock.
