Axios San Antonio reported on August 17, 2026 that the office's Flock network includes 35 cameras, though not all were operating. Deputy Joshua Hamby told Axios that some cameras had been vandalized, stolen or damaged, and that other installations faced permit delays. Axios also reported that the office's cameras recorded 707,606 license plates over the prior 30 days. No document found names the body that approved the contract, the date of any Commissioners Court vote, the amount, the term or the funding. No later report found shows the office ending or pausing its Flock use.
