Mount Pleasant police ran 22 Flock automated license plate readers as of 2026, starting with 10 cameras ordered in 2020. ABC News 4 reported on August 18, 2026 that the town had spent more than 270,000 dollars on cameras, installation, network costs and renewals. Live 5 News reported on August 24, 2026 that the department operates 18 fixed cameras across roughly 550 miles of roadway plus 4 movable cameras for events and investigations, which adds to the same total of 22.
