Portsmouth, RI Flock Contract

Rejected

Who approved this?

Voted down by Portsmouth Town Council on January 28, 2026.

The town said no twice. In June 2022 the council approved a bridge-camera pilot with Bristol 6 to 1, then rescinded it unanimously on July 13, 2022 after residents raised surveillance and data-security concerns; the town minutes document the reversal. On January 28, 2026 the council voted unanimously against installing Flock cameras in town under the state-police-backed program. The date shown is the 2026 rejection.
