No source names who approved this contract. That gap is common where a purchase cleared without a council vote.

Temple University reported on August 21, 2024 that its Department of Public Safety installed Flock Safety license plate reading cameras in July 2024. Police Chief Jennifer Griffin said officers were solving crime one license plate at a time. The university said the readers flagged a stolen vehicle on the 1700 block of Fontain Street within two weeks of installation, and that the campus network holds close to 1,500 security cameras in total. The release gives no plate reader count, no dollar figure, no contract term and no retention period.
