WPXI reported on April 14, 2026 that borough officials were conducting the trial and that council would decide whether to keep the system once the trial ended. A resident petition gathered more than 200 signatures asking for immediate deactivation and removal of the cameras, a public hearing, stricter surveillance ordinances and a look at alternatives. Axios reported on August 21, 2026 that the Munhall trial prompted the April petition. Neither report gives a camera count, a cost, a trial length or a council vote tally. No Munhall Borough Council resolution approving a Flock contract was located.
