Approved by Tulsa County Commissioners.
The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office started with 25 Flock Safety plate reader cameras on a free trial, and News On 6 reported on March 14, 2022 that county commissioners had approved the deal that morning. The office hoped to have the cameras working by May 1, 2022, with the option to sign a contract after the trial. KTUL reported on February 12, 2024 that the office had entered its first Flock renewal, a 1 year contract that started on July 1 of the prior year. Undersheriff George Brown told KTUL the office had 25 cameras and that a vote had just added 1 more near Oak Cliff Drive and Cincinnati. On September 25, 2026, KRMG reported that deputies used Flock cameras to find a stolen truck at a salvage yard. No document found states a contract amount, the money behind the renewal, the date of the renewal vote or the commissioners' vote tally.
