Thackerville Police Department announced it is ending its contract with Flock Safety, KXII reported on September 2, 2026. Police Chief Jonathan Buckaloo said the decision was made in part because of the department's relationship with residents. The announcement came from the department, and no document found shows a town council vote on the ending. No document found states when Thackerville first approved the contract, who approved it, its cost, the camera count, the term or the date the cameras go offline.
