Owasso police were installing 20 Flock license plate cameras along city roads, Deputy Chief Jason Woodruff told FOX23. The report put the cost at around $3,000 per camera, or about $60,000 for all 20. Woodruff said about 60 percent of the people Owasso police arrest do not live in the city, and he named Tulsa and Catoosa as places that already had Flock cameras. He said the cameras only scan license plates and are not used for traffic enforcement. No document found states who approved the purchase, the approval date, the contract term or the funding source.
