Moore, OK Flock Contract

Who approved this?

Approved by Moore City Council.

The Moore Police Department asked for $25,000 for 10 Flock Safety license plate reader cameras, and the Moore City Council approved the purchase unanimously at a Monday meeting that The Free Press OKC reported on August 17, 2022. The police chief presented the plan, which links Moore to a metro camera network with Oklahoma City, Edmond, Mustang and other cities. The report says the cameras would go at intersections in higher-crime areas and at entry points into the city. News 9 reported on March 17, 2023 that the 10 cameras had been on for about 2 months and that more could be added as Moore grows. No document found gives the date of the council meeting, the funding line or the contract term. No later document found shows a renewal, a pause or an ending.
