KSWO reported on August 1, 2024 that the Lawton Police Department had 15 Flock cameras and hoped to at least double that number. Assistant Chief Alvin Winham said the cameras cost around 3,000 dollars each and that stolen vehicles were recovered within hours of installation. The Southwest Ledger reported on December 30, 2024 that Councilman Kelly Harris asked for and received permission to spend money from his Ward Fund on 4 more Flock cameras, at 14,600 dollars for the first year including 12,000 dollars for the cameras and 2,600 dollars for 4 poles, with 12,000 dollars a year for renewal. The Lawton Town Crier reported on November 29, 2025 that invoices released by the city show Lawton has committed at least 130,100 dollars to Flock, across 2 core system invoices and 3 invoices for cameras in Wards 2, 3 and 8. The paper also cites an internal memo saying the cameras were bought with grant funding, and order materials that reference 30 day data retention. None of the reports gives an approval date, a council vote or a current camera count.
