Worthington Schools put Flock license plate reader cameras in place in spring 2024 at Thomas Worthington High School, Worthington Kilbourne High School, the Linworth Experiential Program and Worthington Academy. Superintendent Trent Bowers wrote that the 35,000 dollar project drew 30,000 dollars from an Ohio School Safety Grant, with the district paying the remaining 5,000 dollars. The district signed a two year renewal on March 30, 2025. On September 1, 2026 Bowers announced the district would end the program early, calling the safety benefit limited and pointing to the risk of losing public trust. Flock agreed to end the agreement at no additional cost and to pull the equipment out within a couple of weeks.
