Coshocton County Sheriff Christopher Walters announced on August 13, 2026 that his office would remove its Flock Safety cameras, the Scioto Post reported on August 14, 2026. Walters said his office hears the community and recognizes the growing number of concerned citizens, while allowing that the cameras can help in certain investigations. The Ohio Newsroom listed Coshocton County on September 2, 2026 among Ohio jurisdictions that had ended Flock agreements. The removal was decided by the sheriff and no county commissioners vote is recorded in either report. Neither report gives a camera count, a contract value, a term length, a retention period or a funding source. No termination date for the agreement itself is documented. The county seat is Coshocton.
