The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office runs an automated license plate reader program and names Flock Safety as its vendor in written policy G-4600. Sheriff Greg London approved that policy with an effective date of September 15, 2023, and the text states that Flock Safety stores the plate data and maintains its security. The county posts both the policy and a program description on its own site, describing uses that include stolen vehicles, stolen plates, missing persons and Amber Alerts. Nebraska Public Media reported in August 2026 that the county operates 30 cameras and that those cameras detected close to 500,000 unique vehicles in the 30 days before August 6, 2026. A search of the county agenda and minutes system for Flock returned no results, so no board vote, dollar total or contract term is documented.
