More than 20 residents spoke against the system at a later council meeting, citing data sharing with 267 agencies across 35 states and 112,996 license plates recorded in 30 days, a count larger than the city population. The council could not act that night because the subject was not on the agenda. Mayor Shane Clausen thanked the speakers and said further discussion was planned for the next meeting.
