Meredith College announced on March 19, 2025 that 2 Flock license plate reading cameras had been installed at the Faircloth Street entrance and exit of its Raleigh, North Carolina campus. The college says the cameras give its Campus Police Department 24 hour monitoring of traffic and let officers search for a vehicle by plate, make, model or a visible feature such as a bike rack. The college credits gifts from parents and families to the 2023-24 Parents Project for the security technology upgrade. The announcement gives no dollar figure, no contract term, no retention period and no board action.
