Approved 5-0 by Spring Lake Park City Council on August 19, 2024.
The Spring Lake Park City Council accepted the updated Flock contract on August 19, 2024 and authorized Chief Antione or Administrator Buchholtz to execute it. Mayor Robert Nelson made the motion and every member present voted aye, including Councilmembers Ken Wendling, Goodboe-Bisschoff, Lisa Dircks and April Moran. The Flock Group Inc order form covers 2 Flock Safety Falcon cameras at 6,800 dollars in year one and 6,000 dollars a year after that, on an initial term of 12 months with a 24 month renewal and Net 30 billing. A private donation of 3,000 dollars covered half the subscription and the city paid the remaining 3,800 dollars, made up of 3,000 dollars for the second camera and 800 dollars for installation, out of its Traffic Education Program. The item had first been set for June 3, 2024 and was pulled from that agenda at the request of Administrator Buchholtz before any vote. The cameras went in at County Road 10 and Able Street and at Osborne Road and Able Street, and on September 8, 2026 the council took Resolution 2026-36 accepting another 3,000 dollar donation from the same donor.
