The Sherburne County Sheriff's Office in Minnesota ran 10 Flock cameras on a grant funded trial basis. The office shut the service off in August 2026, disabled camera searches and began pulling the equipment. Commander Ben Zawacki said the office puts a high value on its relationship with the communities it serves and did not want to erode that trust. Keeping the cameras past the trial would have required local tax dollars. Neither source names the grant program or gives a dollar figure, and no contract amount or term length is published. The KNSI report of September 3, 2026 placed the decision alongside other Minnesota jurisdictions dropping the technology, and noted that the St. Cloud City Council set a September 21, 2026 work session to review its own police use of Flock.
