KATC reported that St. Martin Parish Sheriff Becket Breaux said his agency has about 15 Flock cameras, which it uses to solve crimes. Breaux said a proposed cut in Flock data retention from 30 days to 7 days could hurt investigations where a crime is found after a week has passed. The story also noted that state Representative Danny McCormick plans legislation on the cameras. The report gives no contract amount, approval date, parish council vote, term or funding source.
Renewal date pending
The contract end date has not yet been confirmed from records.
