Approved by Glasgow City Council on June 26, 2023.
The Glasgow City Council approved the first Flock purchase on June 26, 2023, and WBKO reported the cameras ran about 3,000 dollars each for a total near 18,000 dollars. Six cameras went up around the city on September 11, 2023. The Bowling Green Daily News reported on September 6, 2026 that Glasgow police now operate 14 Flock cameras arranged in a grid. Department standard operating procedure requires a quarterly audit of searches, and images are deleted after 30 days rather than sold to a third party. Chief Guy Howie received the original proposal, Detective Sgt. Aaron Cowan oversees the system, and all sworn personnel hold login access. Audits turned up two erroneous entries involving transposed case numbers. No vote tally, contract term, renewal date or price for the growth from 6 cameras to 14 is documented in either source. This is Glasgow in Barren County, Kentucky.
