Joliet Junior College reported that Will County State's Attorney James Glasgow presented a 5,000 dollar donation to the Joliet Junior College Police Department at the June 2023 Board of Trustees meeting, and that the money paid for 2 Flock cameras. The college describes the devices as automated license plate recognition cameras that alert officers to stolen vehicles and wanted suspects and that can be searched by plate, state or vehicle characteristic. Police Chief Brandon Campbell and college president Clyne Namuo accepted the check. The college post does not give a contract amount, a term length, a retention period or a vote tally, and it does not say the board voted on a Flock agreement as distinct from accepting the gift.
