Journal and Topics reported on October 5, 2023 that the first 7 Flock license plate reading cameras had gone up in Glenview on village controlled streets, among them a location on Wesley Drive near Willow Road. The village planned 25 cameras in all. The other 18 were waiting on permission from the Illinois Department of Transportation and Cook County for placements on state and county roads. An August 7, 2026 NBC Chicago report listed Glenview among the suburbs using Flock cameras. Glenview publishes short board action summaries that do not print roll calls, and its full minutes sit on a viewer that refuses automated retrieval. As a result no approval date, contract amount, term or named vote is documented.
