Approved by Village of Frankfort Board of Trustees.
The Village of Frankfort Board of Trustees renewed a 3 year agreement with Flock for license plate reading cameras after a Committee of the Whole review on May 4, 2026, Patch reported. The renewal covers 3 Flock cameras on Laraway Road, which is under Will County jurisdiction, so it also needed county sign off. Trustee Maura Rigoni said the cameras have supported criminal investigations and public safety work. The Will County Board approved the highway agreements on August 20, 2026, covering Frankfort along with Mokena, Crete, Manhattan, Naperville and Wilmington, as CBS Chicago and NBC Chicago both reported. Will County Board member Daniel Butler of Frankfort took part in that debate, and amended language lets a city or village withdraw from the county agreement. Frankfort paid for the 3 cameras on Laraway Road itself. Patch published no vote tally, dollar amount or funding source, and neither Chicago outlet supplied those figures. No source states the exact date of the village board vote.
