Approved by Fulton County School Board on September 23, 2022.

The Fulton County School Board approved a 626,300 dollar purchase of Flock Safety license plate reader cameras on September 23, 2022. District police planned installation across all 101 school campuses by January 2023. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported the money came out of ESPLOST funds, part of roughly 6 million dollars the board set aside for safety work that fiscal year. Atlanta News First reported in September 2026 that the cameras remain in place district wide and that students at Alpharetta High School had petitioned to have them taken down. District police said the readers check plates against stolen vehicle and suspect databases and are not used for parking or minor traffic enforcement.
