The Bibb County Sheriff's Office was notified of a $1.6 million grant for Flock license plate cameras, Sheriff David Davis told WGXA in a report published on July 1, 2023. PeachTracker reported on July 10, 2026 that the grant came from Governor Brian Kemp's office in 2023 and was meant to fund the Flock program for 3 years. A Macon-Bibb County release dated October 17, 2025 lists Flock cameras among the safety projects paid for with school zone speed camera fines. WGXA reported on June 2, 2026 that the draft fiscal year 2027 budget said the county would continue to use Flock cameras, and PeachTracker reported that the Macon-Bibb County Commission adopted that budget unanimously on June 16, 2026. No document found gives a Flock contract amount, a term, a confirmed camera count or a separate commission vote on the purchase.
