Who approved this?

No source names who approved this contract yet. The city clerk holds the approval file.

The Wakulla County Sheriff's Office took part in a Flock camera contract held directly by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and Sheriff Jared Miller said the office is removing itself from participating, WFSU reported on September 1, 2026. The office said the public's trust matters more than the use of any single technology. The decision followed Gov. Ron DeSantis' announcement that Flock cameras along state highways would be removed. No document found shows when the office joined the FDLE contract, the camera count, the cost or the funding source. The report does not say whether the cameras in Wakulla County will come down.
