Rockledge police ended use of their single mobile Flock camera on September 1, 2026 through an internal directive rather than a council vote. The step followed the Florida Department of Transportation memorandum of August 31, 2026 that revoked every state road plate reader permit and set a 30 day removal deadline. News 6 recorded the Rockledge action as one of the smallest in Brevard County, involving 1 mobile unit against networks of dozens elsewhere in the region. Space Coast Daily reported the department also cut off access to the associated plate database over citizen privacy concerns. Rockledge has not published anything terminating the underlying agreement. No contract amount, term or city council approval record for the Rockledge agreement appears in any document reviewed. A records request to the city clerk is the usual route to the approval file.
