Canceled

No source names who approved this contract. That gap is common where a purchase cleared without a council vote.

The Florida Department of Transportation revoked the permit for 34 Flock Safety cameras operated by the Nassau County Sheriff's Office on August 31, 2026. Action News Jax reported the revocation covered devices installed inside state highway rights of way, and that agencies were given 30 days to take them down. Jacksonville Today reported the same day that Nassau County had announced it was discontinuing its license plate readers. Sheriff Bill Leeper said the agency welcomes the chance to work with local and state partners so the tools are used appropriately while protecting the rights and privacy of citizens. Neither report gives a contract value, a purchase date, or the body that approved the program.
