Who approved this?

No source names who approved this contract yet. Contracts that arrive through procurement or a purchasing threshold often leave no vote to record.

Gadsden County commissioners voted in September 2026 to end the county's agreement with Flock Safety, which covered 25 cameras at 77,500 dollars a year. The contract was set to expire on October 1, 2026. Chairman Eric Hinson said the cameras solve a lot of crimes but that some residents raised privacy concerns. Commissioner Shawn Wood and Sheriff Morris Young also took part in the discussion. The Gadsden County Sheriff's Office operated the cameras. WTXL reported the vote and the annual figure, and Fox 49 reported the move to terminate.
