The Monroe Police Department operates 7 Flock Safety cameras placed on Route 111, Route 25, Route 110 and Route 59. WFSB obtained in department search data covering September through November 2025. Monroe left the Flock national network in late 2025 and now shares data only with Connecticut agencies. Access is limited to administrators, supervisors, detectives, dispatchers and certain patrol officers. Inside Investigator reported that between April 5, 2026 and May 5, 2026 Monroe officers searched their own camera data 58 times while external agencies searched it 11,493 times. Neither outlet published a contract amount, a term length, a funding source, a retention figure, or a vote by the Monroe Town Council or Police Commission approving the cameras. This is Monroe in Fairfield County, Connecticut.
