WTNH reported on April 10, 2025 that the Clinton Police Department launched a Flock Safety program called Clinton Safe, under which residents and businesses may volunteer their own camera feeds for evidence use only, with no live streaming by police. WFSB reported on May 28, 2026 that the town has 9 Flock cameras, 7 paid for by the town and police department and 2 paid for by a commercial property owner. Three sit on Route 81, four on Route 1 and two at the commercial property. The department has turned off one to one data sharing agreements with federal agencies. WFSB cited an April 7, 2025 multi state organized retail crime case and a fugitive arrest on 10 warrants that recovered more than 5,000 dollars in property. No contract, order form, dollar amount, term length, funding line or approval vote was found. This is Clinton in Middlesex County, Connecticut.
