Who approved this?

No source names who approved this contract. That gap is common where a purchase cleared without a council vote.

Aurora has about 114 Flock license plate cameras, slightly more than Denver, Westword reported on March 2, 2026, citing Flock, and the police department watches their video from its Real Time Information Center; it has also run Flock drones since November 2025. Colorado Politics reported on July 19, 2025 that in 2020 Aurora officers held a Black woman and her 4 children at gunpoint after acting on incorrect information from a Flock reader. The department's Flock portal listed 117 cameras with 365-day retention on July 24, 2026. The sources give no contract amount, term or approving body.
