Who approved this?

Approved by Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors on June 17, 2025.

The Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a Flock Safety agreement for the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office on June 17, 2025. Sheriff LaRue signed the agreement later that year but then decided against putting the cameras into service. He said the office identified several significant privacy concerns while evaluating the system and chose not to move forward with an implementation program. No cameras went live under the agreement. KDRV reported the board action and the sheriff's decision to halt the program.

Use suspended

Camera use is suspended. The contract itself has not been reported terminated.
