No source names who approved this contract yet. Contracts that arrive through procurement or a purchasing threshold often leave no vote to record.
The Rancho Cordova Police Department page lists 52 Flock license plate reader cameras plus 3 live view cameras pointed at mailboxes, and states that Flock data is held for 1 year, well past the 30 days used by most California cities on this list. CBS Sacramento reported the program costs about 1,000,000 dollars over 5 years and covers 53 roadside cameras, and that residents built a campaign site pressing the city to drop it. The department page count of 52 is used because it is the agency figure; CBS Sacramento counted 53. Police Chief Mathew Tamayo said the network produced 19 mail theft arrests, 13 of them traced to Flock. No agenda item, resolution or roll call authorizing the agreement turned up in the city meeting portal, so no approval date, approving body or funding source is given. Neither source gives a contract start or end date.
