Safe Home Alabama reported on June 14, 2023 that Troy University Police had installed 12 Flock cameras across campus and had run them for about four months. Police Chief George Beaudry said the system alerts officers to sex offenders, wanted felons, stolen vehicles and trespassers. TrojanVision reported on August 26, 2026 that the department then ran 14 cameras, 12 on the Troy campus and 2 on the Dothan campus, installed in 2023, and that Beaudry intended to keep the system while holding officers to the guidelines. Neither report gives a dollar figure or a retention period.
