Every tracked Flock contract that ended, grouped by the month it ended. The tracker documents 332 endings as of October 13, 2026, and each entry links the record and the sources behind it. An ending enters this ledger when a document states it: a council vote to terminate, a contract allowed to lapse, a mayor announcing a non-renewal, or a city release confirming removal.
How endings differ
The ledger holds 4 kinds of finish. Canceled means a government ended an agreement that was still running. Expired means the term ran out and nobody renewed. Rejected means a body voted no before any contract existed. Suspended means the cameras are off and the contract is not formally over, which is why a suspended record can later move in either direction.
The route matters as much as the result. Some endings came from recorded votes with every name in the minutes. Others came from an executive decision that needed no vote at all, which is how the largest ending on the ledger happened. Entries without a day show as date not stated, because a month in a news report is not a date in a record.
What this page does not cover
It does not track cameras that came down without a documented contract change, and it does not count cities that replaced Flock with another vendor unless a document states the switch. A city can end a Flock contract and keep running plate readers.
See who cast the votes in the officials index, what is still scheduled on the decision calendar, or how endings happen in this explainer.
